I was born and raised in New Jersey. NORTHERN New Jersey, to be exact. My hometown, West Milford, is actually one of the largest towns in the state. You probably have never heard of it, though, (unless of course you're a fan of Weird NJ) because over half of the 80 - square - mile town is covered with trees. Nearly all of my immediate family still resides there.
And me? I reside in a lovely little apartment here in Glassboro with my fiance, John, and his high school buddy Wyatt. Living with two guys has been a rather cumbersome task. It's taken a lot of patience, a lot of pizza, and a whole lot of Febreeze to manage, but I know that without having experienced it Johnny and I may not have the awesome relationship we have today. Regardless of how silly it may sound, he's my rock. Haha. He somehow manages to drive me crazy and keep me sane all at the same time - and I love him for it. I would do absolutely anything for him and I know for certain that he'd do the same for me.
I have gained a certain sense of independence this last year living away from home. I work often. Very often. But it's necessary for me if I want to afford to continue to be on my own. I've worked at Starbucks for the last year and I started work at the Rowan Rec Center this summer. Both jobs have their perks. I work with some splendid folks who make showing up a little easier. Haha. I am a coffee fiend and I can't get enough tea so that's definitely a Starbucks bonus. I really do enjoy both jobs. What I don't enjoy about working two jobs, though, is the teeny tiny amount of free time I have lately.
When I do have a free moment I love love love to cook. I love baking and entertaining guests and planning things and would looooooooove to one day own my own cafe or catering company. Food is my passion. I love to make it. I love to serve it. I love to eat it. I also love publication layout and design. Odd combination, maybe, but I think it'd be great to eventually find a career that lets me combine my love for pub layout and passion for food into one. Maybe one day there'll be a spot for me at the Food Network! Wish me luck! :)
